Meditation fully involves mental concentration. Meditation divides the human mind from the outside world so that it is free of all thoughts. Meditation is for inner growth.

Like relaxation, meditation helps people calm their thoughts and quiet their busy minds. There are various types of meditation such as prayer, mindfulness meditation, Zen meditation, Buddhist meditation, and Taoist meditation.

At present, Doctors are increasingly using various methods of meditation to assist in healing patients. According to doctors, meditative techniques enhance immune functioning in cancer and AIDS. Meditation is also used for normalizing brain rhythms, chemistry in drug and alcohol addictions, as well as other addictive conditions. Other disorders like anxiety, hypertension and stress are more controlled if meditation is put into practice on a regular basis.

The frequency and duration of meditation varies greatly. Some people can practice for hours whereas others could meditate for only one minute, but a typical time frame for meditation is approximately half an hour to an hour. After regular practicing of meditation, some people also gain spiritual benefits as they are more focused on individual spiritual growth and future goals.

To get physical and Psychological benefits, Meditate at least 30 minutes to 1 hour daily in morning and evening.
